What upfront costs are involved?

Yes, there is an initial rental charge (usually equivalent to 3 months' rent) followed by 36 to 48 monthly payments. At the end of the agreement, you pay a final £99, and the van is yours!

Question 2

Do I own the van at the end of the agreement?

Accepted Answer

Upon completion of your hire agreement, you’ll return the vehicle to us for the removal of the tracking system.

You then have a 14-day window to decide if you’d like to purchase the vehicle for £99 plus VAT as a loyal customer.

There’s absolutely no obligation to buy—you can start a new Rent2buy van agreement or simply walk away.

Question 3

Can I apply for Rent2buy in my limited company?

Accepted Answer

Yes, you can apply for Rent2buy vans in your company name as long as you can supply 3 months most recent company bank statements showing income and affordability.

Since the Rent2buy scheme is a rental agreement, the vehicle doesn’t appear as an asset on your balance sheet, making it fully tax-efficient for your business.

Are there any milage restrictions?

There is a millage cap of 3000 miles per month (36,000 miles per annum)

There is a millage overcharge fee of 20p +Vat per mile billed the following month for any miles over the 3000-mile allowance.

However, any over millage charges paid will be deducted from your final payment should you take the contract to full term.

Is the Rent2buy scheme available throughout the UK?

Currently, our Rent2buy scheme is available within a 100-mile radius of Southampton SO40 2NN.

Question 6

How does maintenance and servicing work with a Rent2buy van?

Accepted Answer

Rent2buy vans operates on a self-maintenance model.

This means you’re responsible for keeping the vehicle serviced according to the manufacturer’s guidelines.

Our team is always on hand to advise you on servicing intervals and requirements.

Should any issues arise, we offer support to ensure your vehicle remains roadworthy.

Question 7

Are there any hidden fees or charges I should be aware of?

Accepted Answer

Transparency is important to us.

There are no hidden fees or early cancellation charges with Rent2buy vans. If you choose to return the vehicle, simply provide 28 days’ notice.

The only potential charges would be for damage beyond normal wear and tear or excess mileage beyond the 3,000 miles per month allowance.

Does the van come with insurance?

No, we do not offer insurance, you will need to supply fully comprehensive insurance in your personal or company name on collection (please note we cannot accept temporary insurance)

Parts that are covered include: engine, electrical system, transmission/drivetrain, braking, steering and fuel systems, suspension and engine cooling systems. Additionally, air conditioning, in-car entertainment, satellite navigation and driver interface systems, hybrid batteries and many more important and expensive components. *
 
You can either pay this as a one-off payment or have the flexibility of spreading it over 10 months 0% interest. Please have a look at the attached brochure to see the coverage you will get.

2 year £795 or 10 monthly payments of £79.50
3 year £995 or 10 monthly payments of £99.50

Servicing, wet belts and cam belts.

Accepted Answer

Wet belts and cam belts are replaced in line with the manufacturer’s recommendations.

Manufacturer recommendations vary, typically between 60,000 to 100,000 miles or every 6 to 10 years, depending on your vehicle make and model.
