Can I get van finance if I’m newly self-employed?+
You can still apply if you have only recently become self-employed. Availability depends on the lender, your individual circumstances, affordability, credit profile and any supporting information requested.
Do I need two years of accounts?+
Not every lender uses the same requirements. Some applications may need accounts or other proof of income, while others may be assessed using different information. We will tell you if additional documents are required.
Can a sole trader apply for van finance?+
Yes. Sole traders can apply for van finance through Van Finance Company. Approval and terms remain subject to status, affordability and lender criteria.
Does my credit score matter if I’m self-employed?+
Credit history can form part of a lender’s assessment, but it is not the only factor. Lenders also consider affordability, circumstances and their own underwriting criteria.
Can I apply if the van has VAT on the price?+
You can apply for a VAT-qualifying van. How the VAT is handled will depend on the finance product, lender and your circumstances, so the team can explain the available route for the vehicle you choose.
How much deposit will I need?+
Deposits can start from £99 on eligible VFC finance deals, but the amount required depends on the vehicle, lender decision and your individual application.
Can you deliver the van to me?+
Yes. Van Finance Company offers free UK delivery on our vans, subject to the normal delivery terms and completion of the purchase.
